Samsung 2263DX USB LCD Sports a Sidekick for Extra Desktop Space
January 9th, 2008Filed under USB Video Capture & USB Video Cards
If you've been toying with the idea of utilizing dual monitors but just didn't want to deal with any hassle, loss of desk space, or couldn't justify the need for an entire extra monitor, then maybe the idea of adding half a monitor to your setup would be a little more tantalizing. Utilizing Samsung's UbiSynch technology, the new 2263DX monitor connects to your PC via USB 2.0 and allows for effortless dual-screen configuration. The 2263DX features a 22" widescreen LCD capable of displaying in a 1680x1050 resolution with an attached 7" LCD that will do 800x480. If that wasn't enough for you, it also has a built-in 2.0MP webcam, dual-array mic, and speakers. To top it all off the main screen is capable of accepting HDMI input and the sidekick LCD can be positioned on either side or over top of the main screen. For those concerned about all the little stuff, it has an 8,000:1 contrast ratio, blistering 2ms response time, and a $549.99 price tag. If you are just looking to add a single monitor instead of one and a half, then the SyncMaster 940UX might suit your needs a little better, and won't hit your walled quite as hard.
