Addonics' USB to eSATA Adapter

  November 17th, 2006

WE RECOMMEND

Notebook computer users that have eSATA drives that you need to use with a laptop that doesn’t have an eSATA port have been out of luck in the past. However, now you can get an eSATA to USB 2.0 converter from Addonics that will allow the use of the eSATA drive on your notebook via USB. The peak data transfer rate with the adapter is 32MB/s. so you will loose some speed as compared to using an eSATA drive on an eSATA equipped system. If you also need to be able to use standard SATA drives with your notebook, you can get an additional adapter to adapt SATA to eSATA then to the USB allowing the use of both SATA drive types. The included software supports RAID and port Multipliers and the adapter works in Windows and Mac OS X. If you only need the SATA to USB adapter and you can get that as well.
