Charge your USB Gadgets by Breathing

Have you ever sat around wondering what exactly you could do to capture some of that wasted time you spend doing things like breathing? How about harnessing the power of your breathing for the good of gadgetdom by charging your USB gadgets? An industrious type over at Indestructables has taken some scavenged parts from a cd-rom drive, a few rubber bands, some bailing wire and duct tape (OK I added those last two in there) And connected the works to his chest to produce 50mW of charging power. Pretty cool design here, while it may be bulky, this could have practical uses say as a charger for your cell phone or MP3 player while jogging. The designer, jmengel, says he is aiming to get 500mW in future designs.
