Super Gluing USB Ports Got Top US Nuke Research Head Removed

  January 15th, 2007

DON'T MISS

According to Watch Your End - a blog sponsored by DeviceWall, the top man at U.S. nuke security agency, Linton Brooks, was forced to resign, paying the price for not taking good care of the endpoint security - notably the USB ports that were being used by an agency employee to copy sensitive data to her thumbdrive prior to her departure. After the flash drive recovery, the agency decided the 'best' solution was to super glue all the ports in a desperate attempt to prevent unauthorized transfers. This sounds a bit surreal to us since super glue was all the top scientists could come up with to beef up security? Anyway, this 'fix' reportedly turned out to be one of the primary reasons Secretary of Energy fired Brooks. This incident might turn out to be great news for DeviceWall whose specialty is all about endpoint protection. From now on, salesperson from the company can always bring up the same story to scare the skeptic should hard sell fails.
