Pretec's 1GB Flash Drive on Ear-rings

  June 1st, 2005

Pretec's 1GB Flash Drive on Ear-ringsPretec seems to be on a never-ending quest to miniaturize their USB flash drives. Now, we know the reason - the company is trying to market their tiny CU-Flash as fashion accessories, such as ear-rings, wristbands and necklaces. With a volume of 27mm x 12mm x 1.9mm or about 40% smaller than a US quarter, the CU-Flash is already found on Japanese i-Duck, Sushi Disk, Ghost Radar and etc.

There's a serious doubt that anything will be even smaller than it is now since the width of the CU-Flash is already the same width as a USB port opening and the length is merely long enough to be pulled from the port.
