iTwin, Cableless USB Network Cable, Starts Shipping
While the idea of using USB to connect two personal computers together for transferring large amounts of files is not new, the idea of combing wireless USB with USB bridging is very intriguing. iTwin has done just this, as their all new wireless USB two part device (aptly named "iTwin") is basically two USB connectors with built in encryption engine. Heck, this really is one of those products that is a "why didn't we think of that" type product as it takes an old idea and makes it new again with just a simple little tweak.

If the iTwin actually works, we can see uses for it besides transferring your files from old computer to your new one (the classic use for a USB transfer / bridging cable); we can actually see this as a great way to keep your files synced while on the road. No matter if you are across the street or across the world these little bad boys can keep allow you to keep connected. Add in 256-bit AES encryption to keep nosy neighbours out and you may just have a very elegant solution for both the student and road warrior alike, About the only thing that does not sound good about the iTwin is the price. With a MSRP of $109, it is not exactly a cheap solution but will make a nice gift for road warriors.
