Microsoft Laser 6000 Mouse Sent out to Destroy

  August 29th, 2005

Microsoft Laser 6000 Mouse Sent out to DestroyWith Logitech and Razer releasing their laser-based gaming mice, it's not surprising that Microsoft should leak their own. Behold the Laser Mouse 6000; cross-marketed towards graphics professionals and gamers, the Laser Mouse 6000 can be used on a wide variety of surfaces with a high level of precision, and can have macro sequences bound to individual keys in-game.

Gamers will truly appreciate the driver's Precision Booster functionality, which allows the mouse to toggle sensitivity levels between full and 10-90% sensitivity. Now gamers can go crazy with the chain gun in Unreal Tournament, and scale back the sensitivity for precision sniping at will. From what we can tell however, the Precision Booster is limited to only two presets.

The Laser Mouse 6000 is believed to hit store shelves sometime next month around $45, although as Microsoft has not officially announced the product yet this is subject to change. Microsoft has also leaked wireless notebook and desktop versions of the 6000, which sources indicate will be sold for approximately $50 and $80 respectively.

And the new Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 is here.
