Ice Cube-inspired Topaz Desk USB Lamp is Roommate Approved
With Gem Hsin's release of the all new and completely unique Topaz LED Desk lamp, laptop and desktop users can finally have spot light that doesn't illuminate the whole room yet still provides enough light to read their keyboard. This certainly will be a boon to people working late into the evening who share an apartment with less than forgiving roommates. With its design inspired from that of an ice cube, even when off, the Gem Hsin's Topaz USB lamp should not look out of place in even the most modern of setups.

The secret to the Topaz lamp is the fact that it uses LEDs that are of variable intensity output. This means you can set the output from 210, 110 or even just an anemic 15 Lumens (for comparison a 40W incandescent bulb gives about 400 - 500 lumens). This coupled with its ability to draw all the power it needs from a pair of USB ports (though an optional 5000mAh portable battery pack is also available) means that it will never be an annoyance to you (never need worry about tripping over a cord) or your roommates (15 lumens is nothing form across a room. ). The LEDs themselves are rated for 30,000 hours and the Topaz lamp comes with a 2 year warranty. While there is no word on pricing, expect the Gem Hsin Topaz LED USB Desk lamp to come to market in September of this year.
