Japanese Releases One-Finger Mouse; RSI Casualties Soar

  September 29th, 2005

Hands everywhere are cringing in pain today as the Japanese company Green House released what is most likely the worst ergonomic mouse ever conceived, let alone put into production. Dubbed the Finger Mouse, the 2.5cm-wide mouse provides just enough width for one finger to navigate onscreen. Left and right clicking is established from a rocker button, with a side-mounted scroll wheel for tearing through pages.

The 800-dpi Finger Mouse comes in white, silver, and black colors to match the decor of the desktop. It costs ¥2,480 or $22 to purchase, so you'll have plenty of dosh left over for your carpal tunnel treatments later in life, or replace the mouse once it's meager 6-month warranty expires.
