One of the most anticipated tech gadgets of the era, the USB monitor by Nanovision, is back. The now classic Mimo monitor only arriving a few months ago is already getting a face lift in the form of the Mimo 710-S "Mobile Slider" version. While making a small, USB powered, pocket sized monitor portable might not seem amazing it's here nonetheless. Now the tiny 800x480 monitor with the same resolution as Samsung U70 can pull a Transformer move and clamshells up into a tight little travel package. All of the basics are still there from the previous intro model, 350 cd/m2 brightness, 500:1 contrast ratio, a double headed USB cable and the ability to rotate 90 degrees. There don't seem to be any plans for an enhanced model with a touchscreen or a web cam bearing version in the near future. Stripping the extras from this travel friendly model has gone down in price to $149 from the $179 that the original debuted at. Just as well, the web cam wasn't adjustable, the sound wasn't on board it required audio cables to be plugged into your sound card and the touchscreen was hard to use as the monitor is so light it becomes hard to control touch pressure. This new flavor can make your travel laptop multi-monitor without killing your budget. Look for it to go on sale at the end of the month. About Everything USB
