Got 30 Extra USB Ports? Make a USB BBQ!

  August 24th, 2006

WE RECOMMEND
So say you have six extra five port USB cards laying around along with 30 USB cables. Lets further assume your hungry and have some oddly packaged meat that your would like to cook up and no stove to do it on. What do you do? Why build your own barbecue obviously. Think of it as the USB Drink warmer kicked up a notch. BAM!

This USB powered meat roaster may only be obvious to the geekily inclined types, with paid up fire insurance but it is a unique computer mod. This guy took six different five port USB 1.1 cards and a full 30 different USB cables to product enough heat to cook his meat. After an apparent embarrassment when he didn't have enough power to cook an egg previously, he did what every man would do, opted for more power this go round. In his own words (or Google Translators words anyway), "Because the cable is thick, the routing is serious".
