RC R2-D2 Webcam and SkypeSaber Set Put Dent in Geeks' Wallets

By far the coolest thing we've seen at CES so far is Nikko's R2-D2 Wireless Web Camera. Okay, so we're biased Star Wars geeks, but before the Trekkies get to lynching us, check this out. The 8" tall R2-D2 droid can freely move around on your desk without falling off, re-angle the camera by rotating his head or tilting the sensor, and commence in his usual babbling bleeps and boops. He's remotely controlled by the bundled software or an 11" lightsaber that doubles as a Skype handset (presumably from IPEVO judging by the controls), that also sounds the obligatory whooshing as it's waved through the air, and lights up at the tip. The lightsaber's dock also acts as a USB hub. Expect the set to be available in late April for about $300.
